Course Description

(LAUNCHES SEPTEMBER 2023) This four-week course explains the importance of a theological approach to strategic management and why christian stewardship matters for your church. The course will help you develop theological goals for strategic management, show you how to conduct a mission/vision audit, create church metrics, and conduct an assessment of your church culture.

The course draws on appropriate management excellence and know-how to serve as a tool for achieving theological goals. You will learn how to utilize management principles and techniques to make your church a more faithful church, rather than turning it into a secular enterprise.

This course is designed so that it can be taken by a single individual or with multiple members of your church leadership team. We suggest that you use this course as an opportunity to strengthen your church’s foundational theology and practice of strategic management with your leadership team as a whole.

The majority of the course activities will utilize a workbook that will allow you to reflect on your stewardship of strategic administration. Our hope is for you to walk away from this course with a clear plan for establishing or modifying the strategic management for your church.
